Hailing from Hong Kong, the 23 year old independent artist finds joy in weaving together her own sound from wisps of R&B, jazz, indie pop and everything in-between. risy has quickly garnered attention from fans all over the internet - amassing over 18k followers in less than two weeks on instagram.
On a Saturday afternoon, risy might be found painting, doing ballet, or hosting a fashion show for herself in her room. Her unpredictability seeps through into her music - a collection of handwritten letters filled with unresolved endings.
As a lover of art, risy first discovered her adoration for writing songs in high school when she started posting on Soundcloud. Her music has been featured on global playlist placements such as ‘Mood’, '.org' and has garnered over 1,000,000 streams. She has been featured on underground zine, That weird music and amazing radio.

Packed with chill and dreamy melodies, Lover From The Internet is a culmination of R&B, jazz and pop that reflects the experiences of finding love in the internet age and the duality of perceiving love through an optimistic/pessimistic lens. Each track from the EP represents each stage of a romantic pursuit with the idea of distance used as a recurring motif to relate the types and levels of connectivity that are shared between people. The first song “Baby If I Were An Android” is a conversation-like track regarding the difficulties of a long distance relationship that is swiftly accompanied by the unconventional release rollout of “Then There’s You” which is based on the premise of feeling disconnected from someone once regarded as ‘familiar’.
